The Value of a Ramble

Lexa bit her tongue and just nodded, urging Clarke to continue. Which admittedly might have been a mistake because Clarke’s eyes suddenly turned a deeper, brighter shade of blue as tears welled up behind them.

“And I just don’t know if this person feels the same way, and it’s beautifully terrible. Because even if they don’t feel like I do, I still want to be around them all the time. They’re just that amazing.”

And now I’m sitting in your tastefully modern college chic apartment drinking moji-teas and confessing that I’m pretty sure I’m in love with you, and there’s absolutely no way you feel the same, and here I am just still rambling, making a fool of myself...”

Lexa blinked back her astonishment. Clarke was talking about her. Clarke Griffin was pretty sure she was in love with her. Lexa’s heart was screaming at her just to kiss the woman already. However, her brain was telling her to calmly and lovingly confess just how she felt about Clarke.

Lexa should…
