The Unexpected Post
Lexa crawled into bed and pulled the warm duvet up to her chin. She curled up against her body pillow, sighing happily as sleep began to take her. She was almost blissfully in dreamland when the sharp shrill of an Instagram notification rang through the still air.
Lexa groaned as she blindly reached for her phone. She had every intention just to silence the damn thing, but as she pulled the phone up, the notification had her jolting awake. Clarke tagged her in a photo.

Lexa stared at the photo for minutes, wholly flabbergasted that Clarke had snuck a picture of her weeks ago. She blinked at the screen wondering what it all meant. Before she could overthink a probably meaningless post, Lexa tapped the little heart and set her phone back on her nightstand.
She had closed her eyes for approximately three seconds before she reached for her phone once more. Opening in the app, Lexa quickly typed in a comment, hit post, and locked the phone.

Lexa fell asleep with a soft smile on her lips, and her arms wrapped tightly around a pillow that in no way had her wishing it was someone else.
